Description

PLEASE ORDER BY MODEL, ie. DP10 for 10 meter antenna, DP40 for a 40 meter antenna, etc. Wire color varies. These dipoles have been built for reliability and performance. Each of these antennas have been optomized for a single amateur band, 10 thru 40 meters rather than a multi-band antenna which yields lower efficiency for both transmitting and receiving. They are built to be used with 50 to75 ohm feedlines and can be used with full legal amateur power and will provide a close match when properly installed, (low swr) to any amateur transmitter/tranceiver including low power QRP units. Materials include 14awg stranded pure copper ele ments, poly insulators and incapsulated UHF SO-239 termination. There is no exposed metal hardware to corrode or rust from exposure to extreme weather conditions. The encapsulated termination prohibits the collection of condensation eliminating intermittant and high resistance connections which can cause intermittant or even no reception and poor efficiency. It is my own experience in using and building dipole antennas for many years that this type of antenna rates high in performance for not only stateside communications, but also dx work. As with any antenna, proper installation is important for best performance. If you have a favorite or mostly used frequency in the band, we will cut the antenna for resonance in that portion of the band, just tell us with your order. DO NOT install your antenna over/under or near power lines to prevent severe injury from electric shock.`
