K5WZ / G5RV Jr. G5RV Jr. Broadband Horse Fence Antenna 51 ft. Ladder Line Fed Multi Band 40m-6m Stainless Steel The K5WZ "G5RV Jr." is a multi-band ladder line fed dipole inspired by the popular and widely used G5RV, designed by Louis Varney (G5RV) in 1946. It can be erected as a horizontal dipole, a sloper, or an inverted-V antenna. With a trans-match, it can operate on the following HF amateur radio bands: 40m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m, 10m, 6m with some variations dependent upon installation methods. The two center fed elements are 25.5 ft. each, for a total of 51 ft. and the ladder line is 15 ft.. Coax (not included) with a minimum length of 55 ft is required. A balun is not recommended, although a feedline current choke or "ugly balun" is recommended in-between the ladder line and coax connection. Power limitation is 1500 watts PEP.
